GALLOPING GERTIE

  To build and run a signature Steam Locomotive for the Swindon & Cricklade Railway.

  Provide a locomotive in keeping with the Swindon & Cricklade Railway’s Railway’s Historic Carriage Fleet.

  To commemorate the histories of :

•     the Railway engineering of Swindon,
•     the Midland and South Western Junction Railway,
•     the Beyer Peacock Company.

   To educate and pass on Engineering skills to younger generations.

   Develop ties and associations with other heritage railway organisations around the world.
